Group Class Descriptions
AeroStep: Sweat your way through an all-cardio, non-stop 55 minute workout. Dance based aerobics, followed by double step.
Balanced Body: This class offers Pilates and Barre techniques, integrating strength and endurance training. It uses the body bar, weighted medicine balls and light free weights.
Cardio Acceleration: Where cardio and weights combine to increase weight loss. This class is a variation of HIIT training that utilizes weights with 30-60 second cardio bursts.
Cardio Pump: A fun, head to toe workout combining both cardio and strength training.
Cardio Strength Intervals: A dynamic class that combines high energy cardio drills and functional strength training. This class can be easily adapted and is therefore excellent for all fitness levels.
Circuit Training: A form of body conditioning or resistance training using high-intensity aerobics. It targets strength building and muscular endurance.
Fit For Life: A body friendly class for individuals just starting out or looking for moderate activity. Classes consist of cardio, resistance training and stretching.
Gentle Yoga: Designed for everyone, focus on stretching , toning and relaxing your way to physical health. It is a great place for those who just want to take it slower. Classes focus on releasing tension, connecting with the breath and working with the joints. Gentle yoga brings balance to a hectic schedule, and classes are appropriate for students with limitations. This is a great class for beginners.
H.I.I.T (High Intensity Interval Training): A 45 minute express workout for those that want an effective weight loss and toning class. You will lose weight, gain muscle tone, and burn off the calories. Perfect for beginners to advanced levels. You can determine your strength and energy level and move up in intensity as your strength and energy increase. Perfect for those that have little time but want a great workout.
Pilates: A total body conditioning which focuses on natural alignment of the spine and core control.
Pilates Stretch: A system of exercises to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance mental awareness.
Sculpt Plus: Improve your bone density, muscle tone and strength with this weight-bearing workout. This conditioning class utilizes hand weights, resistance bands and tubing to create more of a challenge.
Step Cardio: An excellent, energetic step class to get the legs.
Stretch, Strengthen, Tone: Basic stretching techniques that combines elements of yoga, dance, Pilates and resistance training using free weights. Emphasis is placed on proper alignment and form to aid in the effectiveness of each specific exercise to increase your tone, stability, and flexibility. Balance, Coordination, Strength, Flexibility, Technique, Tone, Alignment.
Vinyasa Yoga: is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like.
Yin Yoga: Is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time—five minutes or longer per pose is typical.
Yoga: Designed to tone, strengthen, relax and align the body, including breath control and simple meditation. Great for everyone.
Zumba: The Zumba program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a one of a kind fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: we want to work out to love working out and to get hooked. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.
Zumba Gold: Great class for beginners, slower paced but same as Zumba.
Zumba Toning: Dance based aerobics, followed by double step, putting extra emphasis on toning and sculpting to define those muscles! It helps enhance sense of rhythm and coordination, while toning target zones, including arms, core and lower body.
